    Q. What is the purpose of DeliverTeam.COM?

A. The purpose of DeliverTeam.COM is to unite many carrier companies with many shippers, utilizing one network, the Internet. In the past, information was made available to individual carrier companies by phone or fax or occasionally by modem.

Now the Internet is in the process of changing the way we all do business. The Internet is a fast, reliable network that anyone can access for minimal cost. Important information, such as shippers' same-day delivery jobs and carriers' availability, will be accessible in real-time. DeliverTeam is using the Internet to put shippers and carriers together on the same network, with access to all the same information. We believe this concept will give everyone more choices - more potential jobs for the carrier companies and more potential carriers and drivers to help shippers get their deliveries done.

    Q. Why should shippers use this auction board?

A. For shippers, this board is intended to get them the best pricing and/or carrier for their delivery needs. Shippers post their deliveries and carriers view them. This gives shippers access to all the companies registered with us and all their drivers - a large network of delivery personnel, all bidding for jobs that interest them. (And if a shipper does not get any bids or any reasonable bids, the shipper still has access to this network, by having the ability to contact the carrier companies directly.)

    Q. Why should carriers use this auction board?

A. For carriers, this board will show them delivery orders, posted by shippers, they would not otherwise have access to. By bidding on these jobs, the carriers may get additional work at their own price.

    Q. Do I have to stay glued to my computer to find out about jobs and bids?

A. No. As mentioned above, we can send an e-mail to the shipper (with information about a new bid) or the carrier (with information about a new job). We can send to any web-enabled device (computers, cell phones, pagers, PDAs, etc.) so if you have a phone or Palm Pilot or whatever with you when you are out of the office, you needn't miss any postings of interest to you.

    Q. How does the carrier get paid?

A. The shipper and carrier selected are in direct contact by phone to finalize the terms of the delivery. At this time, the carrier will let the shipper know how he expects payment to be made. In other words, the carrier deals with this shipper the same way as he deals with any other customer. DeliverTeam has no part in finalizing the transaction or submitting or receiving payment for it.

    Q. How do the carrier ratings work and why do you have them?

A. When a carrier has completed a job, the shipper can fill out a short on-line survey rating the carrier's performance on that job. These surveys will be retained on a database by DeliverTeam and will be available to any shipper to view. We feel that an overall rating on a carrier, based on a large enough number of surveys, will be a very valuable tool in helping a shipper decide which carrier company to use. A good rating will also be to a carrier company's benefit, giving them credibility and enhancing their chances of getting more work.

    Q. What are the costs?

A. There will be no cost to shippers to place an order for bid. Carriers will be allowed free usage until further notice. Carriers will be notified when the free period will end, at which time a reasonable charge for usage will be implemented for carriers who wish to continue using the web site.
